Abandoned Lunch Doctors During Operation, Patient Died

A Swedish man who was undergoing surgery died on the operating table being left anesthetists and nurses who lunch when operating procedure is in progress.


72-year-old man undergoing removal of the tumor in his kidney at a hospital in Sweden and get anesthesia at 10.45. According to The Local, chief physician anesthesiologist left the operating room for lunch, followed by a nurse anesthetist 15 minutes later.

Since no other anesthetists replace, substitute nurses drawn from the orthopedic section also do not understand the deal with a breathing machine (respirator).  

Not how long, the patient had suffered internal bleeding and his blood pressure plummiseted. Nurses reserve continues to search for the anesthetist, but at 1300 patients experiencing critical.

Anesthetists and nurse finally came back from lunch and found the engine breathing in patients  is dead so the patient ran out of oxygen for 8 minutes. They then tried to give rescue breathing, but to no avail.

Due to lack of oxygen, the patient suffered severe brain damage and died.

As a result of the incident, the family of the patients reported doctors and hospitals to the health department Sweden.
